Grandma an Papa Gizmo's visit

We had a wonderful time during Grandma and Papa Gizmo's visit. They were wonderfully helpful. Grandma Gizmo was up every morning to help with the morning feedings. She and Caitlin then spent some quality play time. Papa Gizmo would show up later in the morning to walk Caitlin around and see the neighborhood dogs. Caitlin got a lot of needed cuddling throughout the day. Sadly mom and dad had to be at work during most of the days and even a few of the nights. In the evening, there was more cuddling with plenty of reading time for Caitlin and Papa Gizmo and some nap time. Each night we talked, had some very nice dinners prepared by Grandma Gizmo, watched the nightly news with Brian Williams, and other shows like "Lost" and the "Biggest Loser".

Over the extremely short three week period, we had trips to the mall, Babies'r'us, the park, and various restaurants. We even celebrated Papa Gizmo's 75th birthday at Milford's. It was an interesting experience as Grandma got the trout which came head and all. Caitlin got overtired and was a bit fussy, but it was a very nice evening.

It was amazing to see the three of them spend time together. It made me long for days when we will all be together again. It was very hard to see the grandparents leave. We are looking forward to their next visit for Caitlin's baptism. We will cherish the memories of their visit.

Four Month Doctors Visit

Caitlin had her four month well-child visit on Friday. She is in the 50th percentile for weight, head size, and length. So apparently Caitlin is a perfectly average baby. Of course they did not measure happy or cute, where she seems to be in the 100th percentile. As for the overall check up, she is a healthy baby.

Caitlin did not like the shots, but quickly forgot and was back to her smiling self. She fussed a bit more than usual for the next couple of days and had some redness at the shot site. However, other than a cold she is back to her normal happy self and enjoying her visit with the grandparents.

We are having a lot of fun with Grandma and Papa Gizmo. Caitlin enjoys all the attention. There is always someone waiting to feed, change, play and hold her. She also enjoys her new toy Emily as well as her many other toys. I think she is happy to be wearing Dodger clothes, but you can judge for yourself from the pictures.

Kim has started back to work. I am not sure how we are going to get by when the grandparents have to leave in a week. Fortunately, her other grandma will be coming shortly after to help.
