More Family Fun

We are having a lot of fun this summer. Caitlin is enjoying her swim class. Jack is doing well. He eats a lot and likes to sleep. However, unlike Caitlin he fights his sleep. Caitlin enjoys the strawberries and tomatoes from the backyard, if she can beat the squirrel to them. Enjoy the videos.

Splash Pad

We finally had a sunny day. Caitlin and I spent the day at the splash pad at Manito Park. She had a great time. Especially since the dat before she was only allowed to watch the other kids playing.

So far I have had a great Father's day. Jack and Caitlin slept well. I recieved some great gifts and cards from Kim and the kids. The Star Wars pancake molds are fantastic. Caitlin enjoyed eating Yoda while I devoured Darth Vader.

Jack is doing well. Currently he is sleeping in my arms.

Caitlin is at day care today, so I have a bit of time.

On our own

It is now just the four of us. We had a great time with Grandma and Papa Gizmo. We greatly appreciate all the help. We miss the morning feeder and the clean dishes, especially the bottles. We enjoyed hanging around the house and going to the parks and ponds.

Jack is beginning to have a routine. He seems to eat a lot. He is learning to have a good pace at meal time, and is not gulping as much as before. He ate 13 ounces before 8:00 this morning. however, he had a nice four and a half hour sleep period last night. He sleeps a lot, and does not like to be awakened early. He has a fussy period each evening, but is getting a little better sleeping through it. Hopefully that continues.

Caitlin is doing great She is healthy. She talks all day long. She is in a truck phase and loves to read Jack's truck book. She is adorable when she says "Excavator" or makes siren sounds for the fire truck.

Settling In

Now that everyone is healthy again, we are settling into a nice routine. Each morning John feeds Baby Jack with Caitlin's help. Big sister Caitlin loves to help and hold her little brother. That means Mom or Dad holds Jack while he lays across her lap. Unfortunately with the amount of rain we've had, Caitlin has been playing mostly inside so we try to go to Mobius and Storytime as much as possible. She enjoys seeing other kids.

Grandma and Papa Gizmo are visiting and have been a great help. It is wonderful to have family able to come and share this time with the newest member of our family. Of course, Caitlin loves the attention as well.

Uncle Chris

We had a great time with Uncle Chris. Caitlin adores her Uncle. The day after Chris arrived we were all quite ill with the flu so he fed Jack all day. Uncle Chris certainly saved the day! We had a great visit with Chris including Story time with Caitlin and Jack and a trip out to dinner. It's amazing how things change with the second child. At two weeks, Jack was already having dinner at Sawtooth! We never did anything like that with Caitlin.

We enjoyed the visit from Uncle Chris. Caitlin still walks around saying "Uncle Chris". We are having fun with Grandma and Papa Gizmo. Although the weather has been rainy since their arrival. Caitlin was able to hold Jack for the first time. She enjoyed the opportunity.
