On Stage

Although Caitlin can be shy around people she is not familiar with, when she is at home she enjoys being on stage.  Jack Jack has started to play along.  However, I think he really just likes to jump around.  Anyway, we made a stage for them in the kids room for their performances.

Christmas Is Coming

 

We had a lot of fun getting ready for Christmas.  It was quite a change living in a warm climate for Christmas time instead of the cold.  However, most of the houses on out street had Christmas lights, so it still felt Christmas like.  We also got to look forward to seeing snow in Connecticut.

Snow at the zoo

To celebrate winter, the Santa Barbara Zoo brought in some snow for the kids to play with.  The kids had a good time.  We also had fun playing with Izzy and Elly and watching the animals.  Caitlin really likes the tucan which seems to follow her around when she is watching it.

Grandma's visit and Knotts Berry Farm

Here are some pictures from Grandma's visit.  While she was here we spent a day at Knott's Berry Farm.  Everyone had a great time. 

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving seemed like a week long festival.  Beginning with a delicious dinner at Grandma and Papa Gizmos on Thursday and ending with Susan, Michael and Aunt Noella visiting our new home on Sunday.  Thanksgiving dinner was a wonderful turkey dinner with all the fixins.  Sadly I dripped a lot of turkey drippings on Aunt Noella's dog.  Hopefully he is clean by now.  On Friday we spent the day at the beach camp site.  We had soyriso in the morning and salmon for dinner.  It was great to visit with the extended family and catch up on everything from the past year.  Caitlin had a lot of fun playing with her more distant cousin Alana.  Dan and his family stopped by our house on Saturday to see the house and have a dip in the hot tub.  The make your own pizza were not quite as good as the previous nights dinners.

New House

We moved into our new house in early November.  The house is great and we love the yard.  Moving day was a bit hectic with the kids.  But all went well.  It feels like we have been unpacking for the last two months.  Our garage is currently filled with boxes and stuff.  Hopefully we will be able to unpack by summer.  We did paint the living areas and the kids rooms. 

Halloween

We had a great Halloween.  We went pumpkin picking with the family.  We spent some time in the corn maze.  The random guesses made it through the maze faster than the always turn right people.  The kids enjoyed a hay ride.  They also liked playing in the hay.  For Halloween Caitlin went as a princess and Jack went as Elmo.  The kids were adorable.  We had our tradition chicken pot pies before heading out for trick or treating.  The kids got a lot of candy.(We are still eating this candy three months later.)

Sorry for not posting recently.  The move has put me behind schedule.  I will try to catch up.
