New Years Eve
The kids enjoyed our New Year's Eve celebration. They were able to make a lot of noise. Jack liked the making a lot of noise. Caitlin liked directing the making of a lot of noise. We did not quite make it to midnight, to watch the ball dropped, but we did watch fireworks on the computer from other cities around the world. We also were able to watch a couple of good sporting events, one of which was Clemson beating LSU.
Snow
Snow!!! Since moving from Spokane we have missed the snow. We had a beautiful snow fall in Connecticut. Caitlin loves the snow. She can spend hours playing in it. Jack is a bit more warm blooded and took some coaxing. However, once outside they enjoyed sledding, snowball fights, making igloos, and Caitlin's favorite eating snow.
A Ride to the North Pole
The seven of us were able to take a ride on a train to the North Pole. Being indoors was a bit warmer than last years boat ride to the North Pole. The kids were able to enjoy some delicious hot chocolate and the music style of Sammy Snowflake. The ride consisted of a lot of single and playing games. Most importantly Santa came and gave each child a bell.
Christmas Day
Christmas Day was very fun. The kids let us sleep in a little longer than expected. The excitement of the night before may have kept them up a little past their normal bedtime. The kids came downstairs to see their gifts from Santa around the fireplace. Caitlin received a princess castle while Jack got a bop bag. These kids received a lot of gifts from their very generous Grandparents and Uncle. The day was full of fun opening presents and easting delicious food.
