Cold and Snow

With the New Year, Jack's wish for snow was granted.  A snow storm rolled in canceling our flight home.  The delay gave us some extra time to frolic in the snow.  We tried to make snowmen, but the snow was a bit to powdery.  We were able to make snow angles, have snow ball fights and go sledding.

New Years Eve

We had fun celebrating New Year's Eve.  We made it to about 9:00 and watched the fireworks from Dubai.  There was a lot of cheers with the various sparkling drinks.

Day Trips in Connecticut

During our visit we had many days out.  We went to see Frozen and the kids have almost memorized the words to most of the songs including many that did not make it into the movie.  We went to a kids museum where the kids made some very nice art work.  We also visited a airplane museum where Caitlin participated in a demonstration and both kids, Chris and I were able to fly in a  flight simulator.

Christmas Day

The kids are at a great age for celebrating Christmas.  With the change in time zones, they slept in until the sun was up.  They waited patiently, more than I can say about by myself, at the top of the stairs.  Santa was very nice; he gave Caitlin a doll and a doll horse.  Jack received a doll and a
marble maze.  The kids and their parents also received many of presents from Grandma, Albie and Uncle Chris.  Legos were a big hit.
