Christmas vacation begins

Our Christmas vacation began with a couple of three hour flights across country. Caitlin seemed to enjoy all the attention she received as she walked around the airport.

We had a nice storm in Spokane and decided to see if Caitlin would enjoy the snow. I assumed she would not like the cold. So much for my fatherly instincts.

Just before our vacation

The final few days before our trip to Connecticut were busy but filled with fun.

Grandma is back

Well Grandpa returned to Connecticut and Grandma has arrived in Spokane to help. She has been a great help. Last weekend we went to a ceramics store where Caitlin was able to paint the pieces. We had high hopes for the day, but Caitlin had other ideas. It was a lot of fun and we will see how the pieces look tomorrow.

Help from Grandpa

Grandpa flew into town this week to help us out. He has been a great help with all the cooking and dish washing. He also took care of Caitlin while we had a three hour ultrasound appointment. Writing of which, the baby appears to be doing well. Kim is also doing much better. She now only requires two naps a day in addition to her 10 hours at night and one liter of IV fluids. Caitlin was a little under the weather on Saturday, but she was back to her normal self today.

A big sister

Caitlin will have a little brother or sister(sorry for the earlier statement) in mid May. We are very excited. Sadly, however Kim is not feeling well as she is suffering from hyperemesis. She has been getting daily IV fluids to help the dehydration and fatigue. Fortunately, Grandma Gizmo came here to help us out for a week. Grandpa is scheduled to arrive tomorrow for more help.

Halloween

Our Halloween week was very fun. We had a party at Gymbore on Thrusday and spent Saturday night and the Beans. Caitlin enjoyed her costumes and even kept them on for most of the evenings.
