Oatmeal

Caitlin had some extra fun with the grandparents in town. She enjoyed eating oatmeal with her hands. She also seems to like playing with toilet paper. We are excited about when she might learn to use it. On that note, Caitlin hides under the table or behind the chair when she needs to poop.

Day Care Help

We are back at work. We certainly miss summer and the opportunities it provided, especially the time with family. Fortunately our day care provided took a vacation, giving us the need for Grandma and Papa Gizmo to visit. We had a wonderful time over the past week. Caitlin very much enjoyed every morning when Grandma would come up the stairs. She also loved playing ball on the stairs with Papa Gizmo.

Back in town

Well we have been back at home for two weeks now. We have returned to many of our old routines including Gymboree class, Mobius the children's museum, and trips to the park. We look forward to a wonderful month with visits from both sets of grandparents and a first birthday celebration. However, there are few pictures left from our Connecticut vacation and trip to New York City that we would like to post.

Caitlin and Omi

Although it may have taken a little while, Caitlin became quite fond of Omi. Caitlin enjoyed hide and seek, swinging, playing, and cuddling. They had a great time with each others company. We also appreciated the time we were able to spend with Omi, but were happiest to watch Caitlin get to know her great grand mother.

College Friends

We had a wonderful visit in New Jersey with our friends. Caitlin enjoyed playing with all the kids where for once she was not the youngest. Kim and I had a wonderful time reuniting with such good friends. We look forward to seeing everyone again, hopefully sooner than later.

Off to the Atlantic

Caitlin visited both the Pacific and the Atlantic this summer. We made the drive to the coast of Rhode Island, but Caitlin slept through almost all of the drive. We were able to spend time with Jen, Lee and Jen's family. It was a very fun day at the beach. Caitlin ate sand and wanted my Coke Zero. She enjoyed watching the Ocean bury her legs under water. The party was great with plenty of food, of which I ate too much. We wish Jen and Lee the best, and look forward to the wedding next summer.

Swim time

Caitlin was able to play in the wading pool several times. Like the entire trip, Caitlin had many spectators during swim time. It seemed like people would show up out of thin air to watch Caitlin splash around.
