7 weeks to go

Since our trip from California the family has been sick. First Caitlin caught a cold, which I caught shortly after. Caitlin was not able to sleep through the night much, so I spent several nights on the floor next to her crib. Caitlin started to do better, then got worse. Fortunately I started feeling better about this time. The doctor put Caitlin on some medicine which seem to be making a big difference. She is almost back to her normal self with just a shallow cough. Kim, however, is not feeling well. She is constantly nauseated. She spends most of her energy trying to eat and drink enough for the day. We are hoping that the new medicine helps her to get back on track.

On a positive note, Baby Picc is expected in seven weeks. The nursery has been cleaned out and is almost ready for painting. We are looking forward to an Easter visit from Uncle Chris.

Spring Break

Caitlin and I went to Carpinteria for Spring Break. Sadly mom could not come because of work. I was anxious about the plane flights, but they turned out to be fine. Caitlin had her own seat for three of the four flights. It was not nearly as difficult as I had feared. Once in Carpinteria we had a great visit. On Sunday we went to church and celebrated Ben and Luke's birthday with a very fun party. On Monday we had a trip to the zoo with Mary, Robert, Izzy, Grandma, and Papa. On Tuesday we went to the park and Caitlin stayed with Grandma, Mary and Izzy while Papa, Robert, and I saw Avatar. One Wednesday we went to Lompoc and visited with Nathan and Mathew.

It was a very fast but pleasant trip. Caitlin enjoyed all the attention, and hot cocoa, that she received. We miss everyone dearly, and look forward to our summer trip. We also look forward to those who might come to visit when Baby PICC arrives.

A trip to the snow

Sorry for the delay in posting. Dan, Danielle, Ben, Luke and Erin all came for a visit. We had several fun outings including a wonderful trip to the snow. This included tubing down a hill, making a snowman, having a snow ball fight, and drinking hot cocoa. It was a wonderful part of a wonderful visit.

Grandma and Grandpa's Visit

We are having a wonderful time with Grandma and Grandpa. We have been to the park, church, Gymboree, and many other activities. Caitlin is talking all the time, albeit not in complete sentences. We are havinga lot of fun. We are sad to see Grandma and Grandpa leave Tuesday. Although, we are excited to have Dan and the family up for a snow visit.

Grandma and Papa visit

We are having a wonderful time with Grandma and Papa Gizmo. We have been able to spend a lot of time together. We have gone to Gymboree each Saturday and had noodles at Panda Express. Caitlin loves their noodles. We have been to the park a couple of times. We had a wonderful Super Bowl Sunday. It is great that Caitlin is able to spend this time with her Grandparents.

The never ending Christmas

Christmas seems to never end this year. Since returning home Caitlin has received several more gifts. She received a new car, which she loves to drive around the house. She also received a play house with a slide. She seems equally happy going down the slide or throwing balls or her doll down the slide.
