We had a great Easter. Uncle Chris came into town on Thursday night. We played Friday, had an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, celebrated Easter with mass, food, and an indoor Easter egg hunt on Sunday, and visited Kim in the ER on Monday. It was a fun weekend, except for Kim getting a stomach bug. She is beginning to do better five days later.

Easter

Jack's 11 month appointment
Jack recently had his 11 month appointment. He is a healthy guy. He weighed in at 26.2 pounds. He is 31.25 inches tall. He currently has four teeth, but two more are beginning to pop through. He is able to crawl all over the place now. He is trying to stand. He is attempting to talk, occasionally we hear things like "hi", "bye", "dada", "ah oh", and "all done." However he never seems to be all done. His favorite foods are sweat potatoes, Costco chicken, pizza, mangoes, pears, rib roast, potato straws, and almost any other salty treat. He is beginning to drink from a sippy cup and is beginning to drink milk instead of formula.

Learning to crawl
Jack is learning to crawl. He is not the most elegant or fast crawler, but he can definitely get to just about anything he wants, as long as it is not too far away.

Jack playing music
Here is Jack playing a Kazoo. Caitlin is on vocals in the background. Recently she is having us read "Fox in Sox" and "Oh Say Can You Say". She used to want to make "hot dogs" from her oatmeal table for a hot dog party(Don't let the Pigeon Stay Up Late Reference), now she makes "great green ape cakes."
Jack can sit up
Jack can now get from his stomach to a sitting position. However, the video will demonstrate that this does not solve his problem of getting to his toys. Fortunately, he is a happy guy and finds something else nearby that he likes. Unless, of course, his sister is playing with the toy he wants. Then he just pulls her hair.

Bye Bye Grandma
Sadly Grandma had to return home this week. We had a wonderful time with her. Caitlin enjoyed the treasure hunts and cooking. Caitlin gives credit to Pat and Bill for teaching her how to make a silly face. When asked to name her Uncles she quickly responds with Uncle Chris and Uncle James. Caitlin is back on milk. She also enjoyed her first day at gymnastics. She especially enjoyed the foam pit. Jack had his first taste of ice cream and seemed to enjoy it. He also said "up" very clearly, but has not repeated it since. He is trying to sign, but has the sign for "all done" and "more" mixed up.
Jack Update
Jack now has four teeth. His smile is as cute as ever. He cannot crawl yet, but he is trying every day. He can move a couple of feet by squirming himself around. He is also able to roll places, but gets frustrated when he can not sit up. He can stand with some support, and is trying to pull himself up, especially in the tub.
