Jack using his Walker and Caitlin finishes Gymnastics

Jack has begun to use his walker. He is getting much more proficient every day. He is cruising from furniture to furniture, but has not yet tried to stand or take a step without holding onto something. It wont be long thought.

Caitlin had her last day of gymnastics class for the spring. She had a lot of fun bouncing on the trampoline, hanging on the bars, and running through the obstacle courses. However, her favorite part seemed to be jumping into the foam pit.

Airplane Show

We went to an airshow this past weekend with Jami, Nick and Rowan. There was an old bomber that was great to see. You were only allowed in one plane; the rest were too small. However, the highlight of the day was Kim and Caitlin going on a helicopter ride. As the helicopter landed, Caitlin shouted, "Higher." Both mom and Caitlin enjoyed the ride.

On Jack Jack news, he is now able to pull himself up. He is beginning to take steps while holding on furniture.

Back to Work

Well I am back at work. Time seems to fly by.
Jack can pull himself up to a standing position. He seems ready to start cruising pretty soon. He can repeat some simple words but does not seem to understand that he is talking. He has a grunt that resembles up, but for the most part he uses grunts and cries to tell us what he wants.
Caitlin is being two. She is learning to use the potty, but doesn't always make it. She is enjoying throwing the occasional fit and saying "I can't stop crying." followed by something sweet like "Can you please read another book?" But most of the time is she very helpful and is learning to be gentle with Jack. She even finds it fun to make him laugh.

Jack's Birthday

Jack turned one year old on Wednesday May 11th. Thank you to all those who called and/or sent presents. Jack is enjoying playing with his new toys. Caitlin is also enjoying playing with his new toys. He had his favorite meal of pizza a for dinner. He also had his first taste of chocolate cake.

Easter

We had a great Easter. Uncle Chris came into town on Thursday night. We played Friday, had an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, celebrated Easter with mass, food, and an indoor Easter egg hunt on Sunday, and visited Kim in the ER on Monday. It was a fun weekend, except for Kim getting a stomach bug. She is beginning to do better five days later.

Jack's 11 month appointment

Jack recently had his 11 month appointment. He is a healthy guy. He weighed in at 26.2 pounds. He is 31.25 inches tall. He currently has four teeth, but two more are beginning to pop through. He is able to crawl all over the place now. He is trying to stand. He is attempting to talk, occasionally we hear things like "hi", "bye", "dada", "ah oh", and "all done." However he never seems to be all done. His favorite foods are sweat potatoes, Costco chicken, pizza, mangoes, pears, rib roast, potato straws, and almost any other salty treat. He is beginning to drink from a sippy cup and is beginning to drink milk instead of formula.
