The trip ends

The day after our trip to Knott's we were able to spend some time with Betsy, Nathan and Matthew at a water park. We all had a good time.

On Augusts 7th we celebrated Kim's birthday with a trip to Padaro Grill. Kevin Costner was there the week before when we had lunch, but he did not show up for Kim's birthday. The kids enjoyed the sand pit and the food was great.

Sadly the trip had to come to an end. We spent the last night back in L.A. with Dan and the family. The next day we returned to Spokane. It has taken us a few weeks to get back into the swing of things.

Thank you again to everyone, especially Mary, Robert, Dan and Danielle for giving us places to stay.

More playing in California

We spent the next few days playing with Grandma, Mary, Papa, Robert and Izzy. We all had a wonderful time. We took a boat ride in Santa Barbara, and had some more Chipotle. We had a fun full day at Knott's Berry Farm. Caitlin's favorite ride was the log ride. Jack Jack seemed to enjoy the balloon ride the most. He did get a little tired and took a quick snooze. While not on rides he practiced walking around the park.

Nathan's Birthday

We traveled from LA to Carpinteria to celebrate Nathan's birthday. We had a great time playing in Papa'a front yard with water balloons, sprinklers and spray toys.

California Trip Begins

We began our California trip by flying into LA. We spent the first few days with Dan's family. Caitlin had a great time with the sleep overs with Erin. Luke helped Jack play basketball. Ben taught Caitlin to throw a ball. Kim enjoyed her first taste of Chipotle.

Back Home

The flight back to Spokane was a little trying at times, but not too bad. There was a lot of walking up and down the aisles. We are home now, the kids miss the extra attention, but they also seem happy to be back with all their toys. Now we prepare for our next adventure.

Time to leave

Unfortunately, after two weeks of fun and visiting we had to leave. All in all, the trip was a great time. The kids were able to spend lots of time with Grandma, Albie and Uncle Chris. We will have these memories forever.

The Cape

We spent a week of our vacation out East in Orleans on Cape Cod. We had so much fun, that the time flew by. We went to the beach several times, played mini golf, went to the ZooQuarium, took a boat ride, rode a trolley, among other things. Skaket Beach was great for the kids. The beach takes two forms depending on the tides. At high tide the water is a good depth to splash and look for crabs. At low tide you can walk out half a mile through tidal pools. Of course the kids enjoyed playing in the sand the most.
Sadly while on the trip, we got news that Papa Gizmo fell off a ladder. He cut his lip and broke a rib, but is doing fine now.
